The Youth Crisis Assessment program is committed to providing support to youth and their families during times of crisis. With the goal of understanding next steps necessary to ensure the safety and well-being of the youth, our team of clinicians and medical providers give families the resources and referrals to navigate challenging events.

We’re Here When You Need Us

At Mid-Plains Center, our Youth Crisis Assessment program is available 24/7 out of our Crisis Stabilization Unit building.  Upon arrival, one of our therapists is contacted to meet with the child an caregiver to conduct a thorough assessment specifically tailored to identifying risks and immediate needs. With a compassionate approach, we work closely with the youth and their supports to develop a personalized safety plan that addresses their unique situation.

Following the initial evaluation, treatment recommendations are discussed with one of our experienced medical providers who ensure that each youth receives the most appropriate care. When necessary, we help to facilitate referrals for hospitalization, ensuring that urgent needs are met promptly. For those who would benefit from ongoing support, we connect them with suitable services tailored to foster long-term well-being and stability.

No one accessing our Youth Crisis Assessment program will ever receive a bill for this service.
At Mid-Plains Center, we are committed to being a steadfast partner with youth and their families as we help to navigate the complexities of a mental health crisis.
